Teltow (dpa / bb) - After a lightning strike at the Teltow train station (Potsdam-Mittelmark district), all railway disruptions in Berlin and Brandenburg were resolved on Monday night.

Long-distance trains are running smoothly again, as Deutsche Bahn announced on Twitter.

The lightning strike on Sunday evening had reportedly triggered a short circuit in the overhead lines and a signal box malfunction.

All ICE, EC and IC trains between Leipzig and Berlin, between Halle and Berlin and between Dresden and Berlin were affected by the disruption.

In regional traffic, there were restrictions on the RE3 (Stralsund / Schwedt (Oder) - Lutherstadt Wittenberg / Falkenberg (Elster)) and RE4 (Rathenow - Ludwigsfelde) lines.
