Potsdam (dpa / bb) - In Brandenburg schools, a corona test is compulsory from today for students in face-to-face classes and all employees.

Access to the schools is then only permitted to people who present a negative test result on two non-consecutive days per week.

The tests should always be carried out at home.

If students forget the test certificate, the tests could also be carried out in schools, said the Ministry of Education.

The staff in the daycare centers must also be tested.

Since the end of the Easter holidays, only elementary school students and the graduating classes have had alternating lessons at school and at home.

The special schools for intellectual development have classroom teaching throughout.

For the time being, the middle grades of secondary schools will remain in distance learning.

However, if there are more than 200 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week in districts or urban cities, all schools must be closed from Wednesday, with the exception of the final classes and special needs schools.

The Spree-Neisse district has long been well above this critical level.
