Dallas (AP) - The Dallas Mavericks have received another setback in the fight to participate in the playoffs in the NBA.

The team around basketball star Luka Doncic and German national player Maxi Kleber lost 107: 121 against the previous nine games without a win.

For the Texans it was the fifth loss in the past seven games.

Doncic's 22 points in the last quarter didn't help either, the Slovenian had a total of 37 points.

In just over 21 minutes of play, Kleber had no points of his own and only had three rebounds.

The only good thing for the Mavericks was that the Portland Trail Blazers also lost and the gap to sixth in the Western Conference remained unchanged.

The Oregon team conceded a 101-109 against the Charlotte Hornets.

Top player Kevin Durant had to end the game early with injuries at 107: 109 for title contenders Brooklyn Nets against the Miami Heat.

The 32-year-old, who has already missed 33 games this season, only played in the first quarter and was reportedly unable to continue due to a bruise.

Coach Steve Nash said it was unclear how long Durant will be absent from his team.
