Every year, a public transport plan is drawn up that determines which public transport should be available in Halland.

The proposal to stay in Åsa on the weekends came about on Wednesday when Hallandstrafiken's board held a meeting.

The board agreed.

When trains should go and where they stop is a decision that the Swedish Transport Administration takes at the request of everyone who operates the tracks.

The municipalities must also have their say.

The final timetable for the trains will be taken in November 2021 and the timetable will come into force in December.

- Now we hope that the Swedish Transport Administration says yes and that Västtrafik and Skånetrafiken are not against, says Tommy Rydfeldt (L), member of Hallandstrafiken's board.
