Activists in France launched a fundraising campaign through social networking sites to purchase Qur’ans in Braille technology for the blind.

The campaign owners say that their goal this time exceeded last year's figure, which was estimated at more than 26,000 euros, which resulted in the acquisition of more than 136 Qurans for this category.

The Paris Anglantine Association will collect donations and distribute the Qur’ans to the concerned people, who are estimated to number more than 2,600 people on the association’s waiting list.

This is not the only campaign in France, as activists in Marseille announced the collection of more than 14 newspapers for the blind, and called for more donations to mosques in the region to help the blind, and there are also people from Belgium who joined this campaign.

The blind Muslim group in France suffers from a scarcity of Qur’ans written in Braille, especially as they consist of 7 parts and weigh more than 10 kilograms.

Les amis, comme chaque année pendant le Ramadan, je vous partage cette cagnotte pour financer des Coran en braille pour les non-voyants!
