Al-Jazeera correspondent, quoting Iraqi security sources, reported that 3 rockets landed inside Balad base north of Baghdad, and 2 in its outer vicinity.

The correspondent pointed out that the attack targeted the air base in Salah al-Din Governorate, which includes the F-16 aircraft for a missile attack, and the Americans.

And this base, was exposed in the middle of last month to an attack with 7 missiles, but no injuries were recorded.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack on the base, which includes Americans.

On March 4, an American civilian contractor was killed in an attack targeting the Ain al-Assad base in western Iraq.

With the successive attacks on diplomatic missions and the international coalition forces, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi pledged to confront the militias accused of involvement in them.
