Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) - In view of an incidence value of over 200, the crisis team of the city of Wuppertal pulled the Corona “emergency brake”.
As of next Monday, the federal infection protection law is to be applied in Wuppertal, as the city announced on Thursday.
This means that there is also a curfew from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
During this time, you are no longer allowed to leave your own apartment or property.
Exceptions are health emergencies, urgent medical treatment, employment or necessary care for other people.
Dogs can still be taken out after 9 p.m.
"In this situation we have to gain time to bring the number of infections down again with the help of the stricter rules," said Mayor Uwe Schneidewind.
With 222 new infections, the highest daily value since the beginning of the pandemic was registered on Wednesday.

Museums and zoo would have to close again.
Shops outside of everyday needs must also switch back to contactless “Click & Collect”.
If the school ministry approves the Wuppertal decree, the schools will remain in distance learning from Monday with the exception of the final classes.
