When the police fire shots, the Special Prosecutor's Office always investigates suspected misconduct.

As for the police shooting against the suspect in Vetlanda on March 3, Chief Prosecutor Kajsa Sundgren says that the police had the right to shoot and that it was necessary to intervene immediately.

The investigation is therefore closed.

It reports P4 Jönköping.

The man was arrested three minutes after the first police patrol arrived in Vetlanda.

He received no life-threatening injuries from the shot in the leg but was able to participate in the arrest negotiations a few days later.
