The county administrative boards, in turn, decide on the scope of the monitoring.
Forest fire monitoring by air is carried out in order to be able to detect fires in forests and land as early as possible.
In Västmanland, forest fire surveillance will start with flights on 20 April.
However, the date can be changed if the need exists earlier.
