Denmark has, as the only country so far, decided not to vaccinate any group of its population with Astra Zeneca's vaccine.

This after alarms about serious side effects that have occurred in a few cases.

However, the Danish authorities emphasize that this does not go against the European Medicines Agency's assessment, they still consider that Astra Zeneca's vaccine is effective.

- This is done based on your own assessments of advantages and disadvantages.

We have a situation in Sweden where it is very important for us to vaccinate as many as possible, especially the elderly, to get a reasonable pressure on care, says state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell in Aktuellt.

- We make the same assessment as almost all of Europe's countries.

The risk benefit is very much on the positive side, especially if you set an age limit of 65 years, Tegnell continues.
