Today, Wednesday, a missile targeted Erbil International Airport in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in which American soldiers are stationed, according to the region's anti-terrorism service, while residents of the city heard a powerful explosion throughout.

Kurdish security officials said, in a statement, that a missile landed near Erbil airport (northern Iraq), late today, while the governor of Erbil said that there were no material or human damage resulting from the missile targeting the airport, and no party had taken responsibility for the attack after the attack.

This attack comes about two months after a similar attack targeted a military compound at the airport, in which foreign forces belonging to the international coalition, led by the United States to support Iraq in the fight against ISIS, are stationed, and two people were killed, including a foreign civilian contractor working with the coalition.
