Dresden (dpa / sn) - The Saxon City and Municipal Association (SSG) has criticized the corona rules announced by the federal government.

The measures decided by the federal government would be rejected as a "disproportionate interference with fundamental state and civil rights," it said in an SSG announcement on Wednesday.

"The stubborn adherence to incidence as the sole indicator of far-reaching restrictions on fundamental rights is wrong," said SSG President Bert Wendsche.

Deriving curfews from this - especially from a weekly incidence of 100 - could "blow up" the federal government before the Federal Constitutional Court.

In addition, the announced school closings with an incidence of 200 or more caused “horror among many parents, students and, last but not least, the municipal school authorities”.

"This is not only an encroachment on the cultural competence of the federal states, but also disregards the effective hygiene concepts and regular tests that have just been introduced in Saxony's schools," said Wendsche.

The federal government agreed on Tuesday on a draft for the new Infection Protection Act, which provides for stricter rules from a seven-day incidence of 100.

Then, for example, certain shops should close and an exit restriction will come into force, which basically prohibits staying outside the apartment between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

In addition, face-to-face teaching in schools is to be banned from a value of 200.
