Steinen (dpa / lsw) - With wild garlic soup and meat loaf, the senior center Mühlehof in Steinen (Lörrach district) has reopened its cafeteria after a legal dispute over corona rules.

"It is a real optimism," said managing director Wolfram Uhl on Wednesday.

“There is light at the end of the tunnel.

And not only that: We are out of the tunnel. "

The leaves for the wild garlic soup were freshly harvested in the forest the day before.

Because the seniors wanted to eat together again, the Mühlehof was brought before the Federal Constitutional Court.

Ultimately, the Baden-Württemberg Administrative Court declared the dispute settled on Tuesday after the senior citizen center, district office and Ministry of Social Affairs agreed to a settlement proposal.

According to this, vaccinated and recovered residents are allowed to dine together again in the café.

Uhl expected 25 guests on the first day.

"The people are very happy," he said.

He is also proud that the Mühlehof have a role model function.

“Of course we adhere to all hygiene rules,” emphasized the managing director.
