Dresden (dpa / sn) - The volleyball women of the Dresdner SC have also lost the second final game in the fight for the German championship.

The team of trainer Alexander Waibl lost in a high-class and dramatic game at Allianz MTV Stuttgart after 2-0 lead in the end with 2: 3 (25:23, 25:23, 24:26, 21:25, 13:15 ).

In the first game, the DSC women had to admit defeat to the Swabian team with 0: 3.

This means that the Elbe cities are behind in the best-of-five series with 0: 2 and Stuttgart can perfect their second title win after 2019 in the third match on Saturday in Dresden.

The Dresden women started the game highly concentrated and tactically well prepared.

With powerful tasks, a variable attack game and a strong block and field defense, the guests presented themselves much stronger from the start than in the first game.

They were already in the lead early in the first set and kept their nerve in the tight final phase.

The second round was exactly the same.

In the third section, too, both teams fought a high-class exchange of blows, in which the hosts made up a three-point deficit in the final phase thanks to some changes.

In the fourth act, the DSC made a few more mistakes and Stuttgart managed to balance the sentences.

The decisive tie-break was also a thriller, in which MTV and its exceptional player Krystal Rivers (38 points, who converted the match point after two hours), had the upper hand with a wafer-thin upper hand.
