Eastfield (AP) - Rare Roman remains have been discovered by archaeologists in England.

The experts suspect that these are the first of their kind to be found in Great Britain and possibly throughout the ancient Roman Empire.

The Historic England Conservation Authority announced on Wednesday that the remains were more significant than expected.

The complex includes a circular central room with several rooms and a bathhouse.

It is likely a luxury property or a sacred site - or a combination of both.

"This type of building arrangement has never been seen in Britain before and may even be the first of its kind to be discovered in the entire former Roman Empire," the spokesman said.

Historic England expert Keith Emerick said: “These archaeological remains are a fantastic find and far more than we have ever dreamed of discovering here.

They already give us a better knowledge and understanding of Roman Britain. "

The remains were discovered during preparations for the construction of new houses.
