Dresden (dpa) - In Saxony, almost 39,000 people were vaccinated against the corona virus in one day, a new daily record.
“We're making good progress with the vaccination.
The vaccination centers are proving to be extremely efficient and the vaccinations for general practitioners are also picking up speed, ”said Health Minister Petra Köpping (SPD) on Thursday.
On Wednesday, 19,967 people had received the vaccination in a vaccination center and 19,030 in doctors' offices.
This means that since the end of December 996 158 vaccinations have been administered in Saxony - 707 756 first and 288 402 second vaccinations.
