According to Okhrimenko, the process of Ukraine's accession to NATO may take the next ten years.

“It's hard to say when Ukraine will be admitted (to NATO -

).

NATO officials did not name the date, they speak vaguely ... The process may be delayed, because I do not see any particular desire to accept Ukraine, "Okhrimenko said.

The political scientist also recalled that in the next NATO summits, it is not planned to issue Ukraine a roadmap for joining the alliance - a prerequisite for a state that aspires to join NATO.

However, he noted that Ukraine's membership in the alliance in the near future may be rather unofficial.

“Perhaps, de jure, Ukraine will not be accepted into NATO soon.

But de facto this may happen soon: the location of troops, NATO military bases.

We see exercises that are being planned.

Most likely, the question will be raised about the creation of training centers on the territory of Ukraine.

I think such NATO facilities in Ukraine will appear rather quickly, ”the expert added.

Earlier, Kuleba, during a joint briefing with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, said that for Kiev "Ukraine's membership in NATO is a matter of time."
