Traunstein (dpa / lby) - The Traunstein District Administrator Siegfried Walch (CSU) is infected with the corona virus.

The district office announced on Tuesday in Traunstein that a test was positive.

The CSU politician had himself tested because of typical symptoms.

He then went into quarantine immediately.

According to the district office, the 37-year-old will initially be represented.

However, he wanted to be able to run official business from home again as soon as possible.

The district of Traunstein is severely affected by the corona virus.

On Tuesday, the Robert Koch Institute reported 226.1 newly infected people per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.

However, there had been a fire in the authority early Tuesday morning, according to previous knowledge because of a technical defect.

Therefore, not all laboratory reports have been processed.
