Iraqi media reported Tuesday that an armed group targeted what it said was an Israeli Mossad site in the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

She added that the attack targeted what it described as a monitoring and operations center for the Mossad, and it led to the killing of a number of its employees.

There was no official response from Tel Aviv or Erbil.

It is noteworthy that the media that reported the news are considered close to armed factions calling themselves "resistance factions."

This coincided with Israeli officials accusing Iran of being responsible for an attack on an Israeli-owned ship off the coast of the Emirates.

A US Central Command spokesman said they were aware of reports that the Israeli ship was attacked off the UAE.

Lebanese media reported that an Israeli ship was targeted near the UAE emirate of Fujairah.

It quoted unidentified sources as saying that the target ship was named "Hypern", which is a subsidiary of the Israeli company, "PCC".
