(Fighting New Coronary Pneumonia) Duterte and Putin on the phone

  China News Agency, Manila, April 13th. On April 13, local time, the Presidential Palace of the Philippines issued a statement. Philippine President Duterte and Russian President Putin talked on the same day to discuss how to help the two countries jointly fight the new crown pneumonia.

  The statement stated that Duterte's "open and productive" telephone conversation with Putin lasted about 30 minutes.

  The statement said: "President Duterte and President Putin reiterated that as the Philippines and Russia commemorate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year, they are committed to further strengthening cooperation and pledged to cooperate in the fight against the new crown pneumonia."

  The Philippine News Agency reported that the two leaders discussed the global and regional new crown vaccine situation and emphasized the need to mobilize the new crown virus vaccine to "as many countries as possible."

Both leaders emphasized the importance of increasing global production and supply of the new crown vaccine.
