The city of Dresden has banned a “lateral thinking” demonstration against Corona requirements planned for this Saturday in the center.

The ban was also issued with reference to the recent events of the movement in Stuttgart and Kassel with thousands of supporters, as the town hall announced on Tuesday evening.

Corona protection regulations, requirements of the authorities and instructions from the police were disregarded there.

The city administration cited the current infection rate in the Saxon state capital as a further reason.

According to the information, the “lateral thinking” initiative has registered a major event on the Königsufer and, alternatively, gatherings in three large inner-city squares in Dresden.

The ban also applies to all substitute events on that day.

According to the city administration, there are currently four reports of counter-protests and one other report that is related to “lateral thinking / anti-corona gatherings” and whose ban is still being examined.

By general decree, all public gatherings in the open air and participation in them that have not been announced by Wednesday are prohibited.

On March 13, over a thousand people protested in Dresden, despite the prohibition of a “lateral thinking” demonstration.

Police officers were attacked and injured by participants.
