Paris / Berlin (dpa) - FC Bayern's knockout in the Champions League also gives the national team and Thomas Müller a new component.

The 2014 Munich world champion could now do all of the preparation for the European Football Championship in a DFB comeback.

On May 25, national coach Joachim Löw will gather his squad for a training camp in Seefeld, Austria.

With a move into the Champions League final on May 29th in Istanbul, the Munich professionals would have missed the first phase of the tournament preparation.

This also applies to Mats Hummels from Dortmund.

“It is important for us that we are together for 14 days at a time.

That will help us », Löw himself made clear.

For Müller as well as Hummels and returnees outsider Jérôme Boateng (FC Bayern), the preparation for reintegration would be particularly valuable.

Löw had sorted out the trio in March 2019 with reference to the rebuilding as national players.

Before the premier league at Paris Saint-Germain, when asked about the DFB comeback and when he should know, the 31-year-old Müller said: “This topic has at least until the end of April or May . "

He currently has “completely different things on his mind,” added the 100-time national player, referring to his goals with FC Bayern.
