The worst has probably been avoided.

Early Tuesday afternoon, the Besançon police received a phone call indicating that a woman, probably in psychological distress, was driving in her car.

The latter was "potentially armed" reports Le Républicain Lorrain.

The call, coming from relatives of the motorist, suggested that she could threaten his life or a person around him.

The police then deployed a large gendarmerie and police force.

The vehicle was finally located and immobilized near Besançon, at Micropolis, the Parc des Expositions et des Congrès.

The driver then refused to unlock her doors before being forcibly extracted from the vehicle.

A hunting weapon was indeed found in the trunk of the car, specify our colleagues.

The driver was finally taken care of in a psychiatric unit.
