Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Despite his two goals in the 3-1 win of FC St. Pauli over Erzgebirge Aue and recently two appearances over 90 minutes, Luca Zander does not want to make any claims.

“The team is in the foreground,” said the 25-year-old right-back of the Hamburg second division soccer team on Tuesday in an online media round.

The line-up is always a decision by coach Timo Schultz.

The defensive specialist was very happy about his first two second division goals.

"It was overwhelming how many people wrote to me," said Zander.

In the dressing room, Coach Schultz helped ensure that the AC / DC hit "Thunderstruck" was played as an allusion to the name of the two-time goalscorer.

Zander finds the Kiezkicker squad, which is currently expanded to 30 players, rather conducive to his performance: "That promotes competition."

The same applies to his position duel with Sebastian Ohlsson: "We will both benefit from it," said the defensive man, who wants to make the decision about the line-up "as difficult as possible" for the coach.

Zander did not want to talk about ambitions to climb even further with the current table: "We would do well to think from week to week."

He also kept a low profile on the subject of advancement.

VfL Bochum could do it, the defender said.

He did not name any other clubs.
