China News Service, April 13th. According to the "Africa Times" report, South Africa’s Transport Minister Mbalula said that local flights in South Africa should start using the International Air Travel Association’s mobile travel pass.

This so-called mobile travel pass is a mobile phone software that can show whether the holder has been vaccinated against the new coronavirus and the results of their tests for the new coronavirus.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority is currently holding a national aviation conference online and is also discussing whether to use this software.

According to the International Aviation Association, this software can retrieve information about a passenger's vaccination and new coronavirus detection, which is very convenient to use.

Singapore is currently preparing to use this technology.

In addition, airlines including the UAE, Qatar, and Malaysia are also trialling this software.

Mbalula said that under such circumstances, South Africa should take active actions and cooperate with other countries.

The International Air Transport Association also made it clear that the use of this software allows the corresponding countries to have more confidence in opening their borders.

With this software, the status can be inquired in time, and there is no need to cumbersomely check the authenticity of the documents and implement long and costly isolation steps for passengers who are not dangerous at all.
