- It gets insidious on the roads when the temperature drops during the night and creates slipperiness, says Johan Gagnert internal commander at Räddsam Mälardalen.

The first accident occurred at 05.27 on the E18 at Säby where a man in a car drove into the center railing and then further into a tree.

The man was taken to hospital with unclear injuries.

Shortly after six in the morning, the next accident occurred when a truck collided with the center railing on the E18 from Trafikplats Morgendal in Köping, in the direction of Örebro.

The work of salvaging the truck was ongoing during the morning and the Swedish Transport Administration estimates that it will be difficult to get there on the road until 4 pm on Tuesday afternoon.

At 07.52, the rescue service received an alarm about another traffic accident on the E20 outside Kungsör where a car drove into the center railing.

Then a truck collided with the car.

A person must have complained of neck pain.

The road was cleaned and accessibility was restored at 09 in the morning.

- Many may have had time to change to summer tires and then the cold comes back, which makes it extra risky to drive, said police spokesman Tobias Ahlén during the morning.
