Berlin (dpa / bb) - In Berlin-Spandau, several cars burned on Tuesday night.

Six vehicles were damaged by a fire in a parking lot in Wilhelmstadt, the police announced on Tuesday.

Nobody got hurt.

The State Criminal Police Office is investigating the suspicion of arson.

Around 11 p.m., a local resident alerted the fire department about a burning car.

The emergency services were able to extinguish the fire, which according to the information had spread to surrounding vehicles.

Other cars were damaged by the heat.

In Berlin, parked vehicles are repeatedly set on fire by strangers, mostly at night.
