SD has been a rewritten party lately after the Liberals chose a path in the government issue and announced how they view talking to different parties after the 2022 election.

Jimmie Åkesson has, however, been clear that SD will not compromise on demands in migration and justice policy to release a government with the Liberals.
In an interview with TT, he has said that if L has an impact on his policy in a right-wing government, "the conservative alternative that would be a real alternative for voters before the next election will be more liberal and thus a little worse."
- But are the Liberals prepared to compromise or to give in to these issues that are important to us, well then it is clear that we can discuss both those issues and other issues with them.
Åkesson has also said that he wants an agreement with the Moderates and the Christian Democrats on factual politics before a possible prime ministerial vote.
That makes it easier both for us and for others to know what applies, Åkesson said.
