However, as the meeting was held by video-connecting the Blue House, where President Moon is located, and the government building in Seoul, where Mayor Oh is located, President Moon and Mayor Oh met through the monitor without being able to face each other.
President Moon said, "Oh Se-hoon, the new Mayor of Seoul, was the first to attend the State Council. We welcome you," and "congratulations on the election."
Subsequently, he asked for "Greetings once", and accordingly, Mayor Oh expressed his feelings about attending the State Council.
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon said at a video conference today that he suggested the introduction of a simple Corona 19 diagnostic kit to the government and raised the need to relieve the public's burden on the official housing price.
After attending today's cabinet meeting, Mayor Oh held a briefing at the Seoul City Hall and introduced his remarks at the cabinet meeting.
Mayor Oh said, "The city of Seoul wants to cooperate in policy with the central government to improve the happiness of not only the citizens of Seoul, but also to seek better alternatives together," he explained to the president and members of the State Council.
“In this by-election process, I was able to hear the desperate voices in the field, including not only the difficulties of the public welfare due to Corona 19, but also the pain of students and parents due to the online classes at home, and disappointment due to the surge in housing prices. He explained, “I will communicate my deepest opinions to the President and the ministers of each ministry without adding or subtracting them so that they can solve their concerns together.”
Mayor Oh said, "The city of Seoul first intends to implement a pilot project using the rapid antigen test method approved by the government." He said that the office urged us to give permission to use it as soon as possible.
He also suggested an improvement in the system that allows local governments to participate with authority in the process of determining apartment prices, saying, "To alleviate the burden on the public due to the increase in public prices, it is necessary to amend the relevant laws and regulations and improve the system of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport. He added.
Mayor Oh said that in the future, it will be a rule to attend the State Council if possible.
