Mohammed bin Rashid orders the release of 553 inmates on the occasion of Ramadan
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has ordered to pardon 553 inmates of correctional and penal facilities in Dubai of various nationalities, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai, Counselor Issam Issa Al-Humaidan, confirmed that the order issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum comes from His Highness’s keenness to grant those covered by the amnesty the opportunity to join their families and bring joy to their families on this fragrant occasion with all the values it bears. Tolerance and compassion, and the great opportunity that the Holy Month provides for repentance, so that they can review themselves and return to continuing their lives naturally, as beneficial individuals for their families and their society, in a framework of respect for the law and compliance with its provisions and avoiding every slip that would deviate them from the right path.
He explained that the Public Prosecution immediately initiated coordination with the Dubai Police General Command to implement the pardon order as soon as possible.
