Halle (dpa / sa) - The rise in consumer prices in Saxony-Anhalt continued in March.
The annual inflation rate was 1.6 percent after 1.4 percent in February and 1.2 percent in January, as the State Statistical Office announced on Tuesday in Halle.
A comparable inflation rate of 1.6 percent was last measured in August 2019.
According to the information, it became more expensive for consumers in the area of transport: in addition to the prices for petrol, which rose by 9.1 percent compared to the same month last year, diesel fuels with plus 11.1 percent and LPG with plus 6.5 percent vehicles are also 2.1 percent more expensive.
The price level for passenger and goods transport has risen by 1.5 percent.
The prices for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose by 1.3 percent, as the statisticians also reported.
They determined a plus of 1.2 percent for net rents, while smaller tradespeople services are 10.7 percent more expensive, natural gas and its levy by 2.5 percent and electricity by 1 percent.
