Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The BVB / Free Voters faction in the Brandenburg state parliament is against the continuation of the lockdown under the planned federal law and instead calls for the implementation of a “test and open” concept.

"Hotels, outdoor catering, tourist and cultural businesses must be able to reopen with a test concept," demanded parliamentary group leader Péter Vida on Tuesday in the state parliament.

Because it has not been proven that there is a significant infection process in these areas.

Vida referred to the model projects in Tübingen and the Saarland with openings when using rapid tests.

There, the number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week is significantly below the value in other regions and the national average, he said.

Vida argued that restrictions, including curfews, shift contacts from the well-controlled public and businesses to the uncontrollable private sphere.
