Berlin (dpa / bb) - A trial against a 35-year-old who is said to have been involved in fraud by false police officers has been adjourned before the indictment was read out.

The Berlin district court thus granted an application by the defense lawyers to review the court occupation on Tuesday.

The defendant is said to have acted as a member of a gang.

Accomplices acted as alleged police officers in order to deprive elderly people of their assets under false pretenses.

According to investigations, the 35-year-old is said to have been employed as a “logistician”.

He received loot and kept it.

The charges are seven fraudulent acts.

The accused is said to have kept money and valuables worth a total of 455,000 euros.

The gang fraud trial is expected to continue on April 20th.
