• Igor the Russian trial: "If I could have taken my bible, the two Civil Guards would be alive"

  • The accused Igor the Russian attacks four officials with a tile when he refused to leave his cell to be tried

When

José Luis Iranzo's

father

heard the two shots that ended his son's life, he believed that the dog had been killed.

"They seem to have killed the mastiff," he testified that he said in his call for help to the Civil Guard.

José Luis Iranzo Sr., the only person who was at the

Mas Saso

farm

, located in

Andorra (Teruel)

, when the events occurred, has declared in the second session of the trial against

Igor el Russo

, which is held at the

Provincial Court of Teruel

for the murders of his son and the civil guards

Víctor Romero

and

Víctor Caballero

.

Iranzo started his story at 08:30 in the morning of that day - December 14, 2017 - when he and his son arrived at the farm and found a broken window.

"Don't touch anything, let's call the Civil Guard," he said they said, convinced that it was the work of the same person who had been stealing from properties in the area for days.

After the arrival of the agents, they noticed that "some drink, some can and nothing else" were missing.

"Dad, can you do me a favor, why don't you go round the field that now I have to go to the Civil Guard to file a complaint, they are calling us this afternoon?"

"José Luis, do not commit too much to the Civil Guard, because the times are not there."

"Dad, if they call me I have to go," Iranzo Sr. has recounted the last conversation he had with his son in person.

He left with the tractor to do the agricultural task assigned while his son filed the complaint, and as he later learned, he also accompanied the Civil Guard to some caves where he suspected that the fugitive who had terrified the region could hide.

At 5.30 pm, Iranzo finished work and called his son: "Jose, you can come now, I'm at the Mas."

"Dad, wait, I'm with the Civil Guard."

Iranzo Sr. then drove the tractor to the farm and stayed in a garage near the main building.

"I was sitting on the tractor, it was getting dark, it occurs to me to turn back and see a flashlight on the roof. I looked down: The mother who gave birth to me, if there is an uncle coming in there."

He called his son to alert him but he had no coverage, he saw his car enter the farm and shortly after he heard the two shots: "At that moment,

pam pam,

I heard a screech. 'The bird is here, maybe the dog".

I call my wife to go to the Civil Guard to say that this had happened, she was not there;

To a nephew, I don't call 062 either, the command of the Civil Guard of Teruel leaves.

'Look, I'm in the Saso, here there have been two shots, something has killed, the dog or something.'

When Nobert Feher started to flee with the cattleman's car, Iranzo thought it was his son, he ran towards him, but he tripped over a fence and fell to the ground.

"I got up and the car was already passing. I threw a stone at him. 'Jose, Jose, am I here?'. The car has already passed by. I thought it was my son."

A few minutes later he saw the Civil Guard cars in the distance, waiting for them sitting on some straw alpacas when more shots rang out.

"And at the moment,

pam pam pam

,

pum,

a different shot, a very small pause. What the hell is happening. I'm scared already. Two bursts", recounted the moment when Norbert Feher shot at the two deceased Civil Guards.

He saw the Civil Guard vehicles make erratic movements back and forth until they finally approached him.

"I with my hands up. 'Stop!'. 'I'm the one who called on the phone.' 'Yes, yes, there is a body.' 'What, is there a body?' Yes, but you don't know Move from here '", has reproduced his conversation with the agents.

"How was that body dressed? It could be my son," asked Iranzo father without getting an answer.

The victims: Víctor Romero, José Luis Iranzo and Víctor Caballero.THE WORLD

The Civil Guard took him into one of their vehicles and took him to the Andorran health center, along with the bodies of the agents killed.

He learned that his son had died when he was already at home, through a relative who was informed by the Civil Guard.

José Luis Iranzo explained that it was known that a man dressed as a military man had been stealing from farms in the area for days.

News had reached him of a robbery in the town of Híjar, "five or more people" had told him that they had seen him in Albalate.

"In Andorra he was shopping, they saw him in a supermarket and in a liquor store. That was what they told me: 'I have seen this man in my store'. It may be true or it may be a lie," said Iranzo Sr., who has finished his intervention before the prosecutor thus: "I only ask one thing, justice. It is what I am asking now, justice."
