The report to IVO, the Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate, states that in connection with an ambulance alarm to Korpberget's treatment home, it emerged that staff at the home knew that a resident there had taken drugs.

It was Melvin Sonne who volunteered for treatment at Korpberget's treatment home to become drug-free.

According to the ambulance service, the staff at Korpberget did not act when they learned of this, nor did they carry out any supervision by Melvin Sonne after they became aware of the drug intake.

An ambulance was called too late

The staff only called an ambulance when they found Melvin Sonne lifeless.

He later died in hospital.

SVT Västernorrland has contacted unit manager Camilla Johansson in the ambulance service in Kramfors for a comment on the report to IVO:

- It is extremely unusual for us from the Kramfors ambulance to make an external deviation when picking up from a treatment home.

We have several treatment homes in Kramfors municipality, says Camilla Johansson.
