Gera (AP) - After many delays, the time has come today: The trio of lions from Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt is moving into the Gera Forest Zoo.

Originally, the admission of the new animals in Thuringia was already planned for the end of February, but the necessary dental treatment of the male lion Mufassa and the associated healing process intervened.

Routine examinations of the white lions provided further delay.

Mufassa and his sisters Sari and Mali were born in November 2020.

So that nothing goes wrong on the day of the move, the keepers separated the animals from their parents at an early stage.

Loading was also repeatedly trained with the animals.

The predator complex of the Gera Wildlife Park was orphaned after the death of the African pair of lions Kibali and Amos at the end of 2020.

With the three cubs, life should now move back into the house.
