Frankenthal (dpa / lrs) - A one and a half year old child escaped from his apartment in Frankenthal and, with the help of a car driver and a daycare center, returned safely to his mother.

As a policewoman involved in the operation reported, the “very agile child” got out onto the street on Monday morning through the unlocked apartment door.

An attentive driver discovered the boy when he tried to cross a street barefoot.

Since the little boy could not yet tell where he lived, the woman alerted the police.

A second car driver had stopped in the meantime and, among other things, put on the child's socks that she had in the car, said the policewoman.

According to the police, the patrol that was called came up with the idea to inquire at a nearby daycare center.

The child was not known there, but they could be identified as the brother of a daycare child.

So the one and a half year old boy could be safely brought back to his mother.

This had therefore already dissolved at the same time informed the police that their child was gone.
