Laatzen (dpa / lni) - A one-year-old child locked himself in the car while playing with the car key before the mother could get in.
The mother picked up her offspring on Monday from the day care center in Laatzen near Hanover, the fire brigade said.
She put her son in his child seat on the back seat, gave him the car key to play with and closed the door.
Before she got in, the little one pressed the lock button on the remote control.
The woman called the fire department.
The emergency services freed the child.
