Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - For people who have been completely vaccinated against the coronavirus, in Baden-Württemberg there will be exemptions from the segregation obligation and after entry from a risk area.

An exception rule will be included in the respective regulations, according to which vaccinated, symptom-free people will no longer have to go into isolation if they have had contact with a Covid-19 case.

"The same applies to travelers from all risk areas abroad," said Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) on Monday in Stuttgart.

The country is thus following the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

Accordingly, an exception to the segregation obligation is to be provided for close contacts who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

The same applies to people who have previously received a dose of vaccine and who have also suffered from Covid 19 in the past.

According to the RKI recommendation, vaccination protection is considered complete if 14 days have passed since the last prescribed vaccination dose.

All vaccines approved in the EU are recognized.

The changes will be made this week, according to Lucha, and should come into effect next Monday (April 19).

According to Lucha, there are further changes with a view to vaccinated persons for inpatient care facilities.

With a vaccination rate of 90 percent of the residents, more visits can be made possible again.

The hygiene measures, in particular the qualified mask requirement and testing prior to entry for visitors, continue to apply.
