Hanover / Bremen (dpa / lni) - With mandatory corona tests, lessons at Lower Saxony's schools continue after the Easter holidays.

As of today, schoolchildren and staff have to test themselves for Corona at home twice a week before classes begin, as the Ministry of Culture announced.

The tests are so-called lay tests for the front nasal area, which show the result after around 15 minutes.

The test kits are distributed by the schools.

Anyone who has a positive test result is not allowed to enter the school and has to have an even more reliable PCR test.

In the state of Bremen, testing is also mandatory from Monday.

The pupils also test themselves there twice a week - but at school.
