- We are five researchers who are looking at this right now.

The study involves the researchers interviewing about 80 former employees and short-term layoffs, managers, union representatives and representatives of adjustment organizations in the hotel and restaurant industry, says Alexis Rydell who has a doctorate in work science at Dalarna University.

Why is this type of research important?

- It is important because it affects many different people and also companies in different ways.

So it is important to develop a structure and process to be able to handle this, in order to be able to minimize negative consequences that may arise, says Rydell.

The project has been running for about six months and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2023.
