Rain (dpa / lby) - On the run from a police car, two people died in an accident in Lower Bavaria, five others were injured, some seriously.
As the police announced on Monday, the driver of the car and six other inmates fled a patrol on Sunday in Zwiesel (Regen district) at “extremely high speed” when the officers wanted to check the car.
In the rain, the car came off the road and hit a tree.
The driver of the car died at the scene of the accident, and a passenger later succumbed to her injuries in a hospital.
According to the police, the other five occupants of the car were injured, some seriously, in the accident.
Why the driver of the car fled from the police initially remained unclear.
