Lavrov appreciated the plans of the United States to send ships to the Black Sea

According to Lavrov, such US military activity has been regularly observed lately.

“This is being done especially aggressively, accompanied by aggressive rhetoric, questions are being asked: what is Russia doing on the border with Ukraine?

The answer is very simple: we live there, this is our country.

But what the United States is doing ... thousands of kilometers from its own territory - this question still remains unanswered, ”the Russian minister said.

On April 8, CNN, citing a source, reported that the United States is considering sending ships to the Black Sea in the coming weeks to support Ukraine amid "Russia's increased military presence on the eastern border."

The United States notified Turkey about the passage of its two ships through the Bosphorus, and Ankara, in turn, sent the relevant data to the participants of the Montreux convention.

Later, the Pentagon called the sending of ships to the Black Sea a standard operation.
