Pleystein (dpa / lby) - The federal police stopped a drunk truck driver on Autobahn 6 in the Upper Palatinate.

The officers directed the 48-year-old to a parking lot near Pleystein (Neustadt an der Waldnaab district), as the police announced on Monday.

It was said that the man had trouble keeping control of his tractor-trailer on Sunday evening.

When he got out he almost fell out of the driver's cab.

A breath alcohol test showed a value of 1.35 per mille.

According to the police, the driver can now expect a criminal complaint, three points in Flensburg, a driving ban for several months and a fine.
