Hanover (dpa / lni) - In the race for the Union's candidacy for chancellor, CDU boss Armin Laschet also receives support from Lower Saxony.
Economics Minister Bernd Althusmann, who is also state chairman of the CDU, told the Oldenburg “Nordwest-Zeitung” on Monday that he had spoken out in favor of Laschet in the CDU presidium.
"That doesn't diminish the talents of Markus Söder, but Armin Laschet exudes great reliability, which is particularly important in these unstable times," said Althusmann about the Prime Ministers of Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia.
