Dresden / Luby (dpa / sn) - Earthquake activities have been registered again in Vogtland.

As the State Office for Geology announced on Monday, several events above a magnitude of 2.0 have been registered since Saturday.

From this value people could perceive the tremors.

The strongest quake so far occurred on Saturday morning and reached a magnitude of 2.9.

The source of the quake is north of Novy Kostel near Luby near the Saxon border in the Czech Republic.

There are always swarm quakes in Vogtland.

Small tremors occur in close chronological order.

According to the state office, the last swarms of earthquakes in Vogtland occurred from mid-December 2020 to early January 2021.
