Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - According to media reports, a possible commitment by coach Adi Hütter to Bundesliga soccer club Borussia Mönchengladbach is getting closer.

The club and the coach from Eintracht Frankfurt are very far in terms of cooperation, reported the "kicker" (Monday).

Whether there is already an agreement is open.

Sport1 also reported that both parties had become closer.

The Austrian Hütter still has a contract in Frankfurt until 2023, but is said to have an exit clause and is traded as a possible successor to Marco Rose at Gladbach.

The 51-year-old Hütter recently refused to comment on speculations about his future.

Gladbach's sporting director Max Eberl recently stated that it was very clear who should become the new coach.

As currently fourth in the table, Hütter could lead Eintracht into the Champions League for the first time in their club's history.

On Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky) Mönchengladbach and Frankfurt will meet in the Bundesliga.
