Zapfendorf (dpa / lby) - A 79-year-old wrong-way driver caused an accident on the Autobahn 73 on Sunday morning.
A driver had to evade the senior's car when overtaking, said the traffic police on Sunday.
The 43-year-old then hit a truck that skidded and positioned itself across the road near Zapfendorf (Bamberg district).
The driver was slightly injured.
"A number of other drivers could only avoid a collision through emergency braking and evasive maneuvers," it said.
The senior has lost his driver's license after a ten-kilometer odyssey.
