April 10, 2021 An extraordinary supply of vaccines recovered by the Regional Crisis Unit will allow vaccination centers in the province of Avellino to resume administration next Monday, after yesterday's decision by the Asl Irpinia to suspend operations due to the exhaustion of stocks.

The 22 vaccination centers are operational today, but tomorrow in any case they will be forced to stop pending the arrival of the doses recovered by the Campania task force.

Regular supply is expected to resume next Wednesday, with the delivery of approximately 11,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine.

The general manager of the Avellino ASL, Maria Morgante, yesterday sent a brief communication to the mayors of the municipalities that host the intercommunal vaccination hubs to communicate a forced suspension.

About 2,350 doses were administered yesterday across the province.

In the ASL freezers there would still be sufficient stock to allow scheduled recalls.
