8 November 2018The man who allegedly opened fire inside a Los Angeles bar, Thousand Oaks, was killed - after a brief escape - by the police, causing 12 victims and injuries, including a policeman.

The media reported this, quoting the Ventura County Sheriff's Spokesman.

At least 30 shots would have been fired.

The call to the police came at 11:30 pm local time.

According to the club's website, the Borderline, a "College Country" evening was taking place at the time of the shooting.

The place is mostly frequented by students from a nearby college aged between 18 and 21.

Witnesses who managed to escape from the room say that the man entered - without uttering a word - and started firing on the crowd, even throwing smoke grenades.

The first to be hit were a bouncer and the cashier.

Some guys also spoke of "people pouring on the ground" and terrified customers, taking refuge under the tables, in the bathrooms and on the roof of the building.

The rescuers would be able - after at least 1 hour - to enter and rescue some people.

Among them also doctors to provide first aid.
